We are so excited to host another give-away contest here at the Nest. I want to enter (but that would be cheating) because the award is so awesome. Kim from Unemployed Designer, and our Sponsor for this week, has donated a Leather Business Card Case and a Leather Pony Tail Holder to our winner. Kim has also designed a bit of a challenge to go along with the contest so to enter read below. All of the entries should be made in our comments to this post, so be sure to leave you email address or URL so we can contact you if you are chosen as the winner. Good Luck! Read more »

Angry Chicken Give-Away
Devona | April 24, 2009 | 2:50 pm

apron-tie-one-onI just wanted to pass on the news that the Angry Chicken is doing a book give-away on her Tie One On blog. In order to win you have to enter a submission in her No $$ Apron Contest. The contest ends on April 30th so time is of the essence. :)

I am going to enter this apron I made a while back from a dress that I had bought to wear, but after trying to wear it a few times I felt it was a little too outlandish for regular everyday wear. It makes a perfect apron though, as it is more than acceptable (necessary maybe?) to wear outlandish clothing while baking and mopping. All of the fabric used for this apron is from the dress itself and was more than fun to make. It was inspiring, actually, and now I have another cut up dress in the process of being apronized.

p.s. Please excuse the modeling. I’m not normally that posed, but I sold this apron on etsy and needed to show people the sassy feel of the thing. I do like how it looks like I have a picture growing out of my head. That keeps me humble. ;)
