I am seeing all of these wonderful button down shirts with a synched waist and I wanted one. I am not seeing too large of a “clothing budget” in our financial future with the holidays approaching. So this morning I raided the stash and found a brown men’s shirt that was just the right amount of too large. I cut off the sleeves and added elastic to them the make them all poofy, and then I stitched an elastic band into the shirt body at the natural waist.

It definitely gets the right look, and it cost me nothing but 20 minutes in front of the sewing machine and a stash raid. These are my favorite types of clothing overhauls.
