how to have fun. Crafty Mart was such a success, it almost felt like Akron was cool all the time, and not a rust-belt city on the rebound. I have always loved Musica as a music venue, and there were so many of my friends involved I knew it would be fun. But what I wasn’t expecting was the huge turn out, or the number of new people I would meet. Thanks so much J and Juniper. I can’t wait until next year!
In fact I was having such a good time that I completely forgot to take my camera out of its bag, and so the only picture I have of the whole event is this one Colleen’s husband Jon sent me from his iPhone. There will be more photos to come once my friend Margaret of JaNicki Photography hooks me up. In the meantime, if any of you readers has a picture from the event, feel free to load it into our flickr pool. I’d love to get some feedback going in the comments. Who was your favorite vendor, what did you buy and what did you wish you’d bought?

I loved the event! I bought a hand thrown pottery mug from Zack & Margie Orcutt! I love it! They were such nice people too! I also loved all the bags that Andi from blog.knitbrit.com had too! She was cracking me up!!
After the day was over my cheeks hurt from laughing! It was such a great crowd! Thanks everyone!
Well, I bought something from at least 16 vendors so I clearly liked what was being sold:) The two things I bought that I used right away were my Tiny Bird purse and the wine racks from Hildee Pine.
I wish I could have afforded another resin piece from Rosanne!
I am planning on buying a resin piece from Rosanne. I need to email her so I can get some of her images. I want to post about those on the blog.
I would have bought one on the spot, but I wanted Rob’s help in picking one.
I was so disappointed I couldn’t make it. Glad to hear it went well!
Devonna! I felt the same about coolness in Akron! I wanted to buy something from everyone just so they would be my friend! Is that sad? I bought all hair stuff and have worn all of it already, but not at the same time! Can’t wait for more indie crafting action!
Those felted owl poofs were so cute! They’d be a fun conversation piece for a desk or shelf. http://www.threebearsdesign.com/
