While my felted wool is fresh and available in my craft space, I thought I’d whip up some projects. Today I made a handful of cup cozies, for myself & for gifts (with gift cards to favorite local coffee shops). They’re fairly easy and so soft!
First, felt your wool. Second, if your wool is felted enough so that the fibers won’t unravel, all you do is cut your sweater sleeve to the height of a paper cozy. Mine fit the cup perfectly, but if it’s a little large, you can sew the seam to make it tighter. If you’re afraid the wool may unravel a little, use fray-check on the edges (I did this just to be safe). If you’re afraid it will unravel moderately, do a blanket stitch instead.
And if you want to get extra-creative, do some embroidered designs on the cozy. For cleaning, hand-wash in cold water (warm water may shrink them.)

These are cute!
The only sweater I ever felted was on accident and it was before felting was getting popular to craft with so I took it to the thrift store hoping maybe a kid could wear it. I wish I would have kept it now it was a pretty purple sweater.
