Selvage Bag in Ready Made Magazine

I grabbed a Ready Made Magazine while shopping on Sunday and thumbed through it all afternoon looking for some inspiration. In the Ten Spot, at #5 I saw a truly inspiring bag made by piecing together selvages from fabric edges.
I looked up the Maker, Jodie Carleton, on her blog Ric Rac and found a treasure trove of amazing tutorials and crafts. She even had Yip Yip monsters. What a blast from the past! I am so inspired!
So, if you find that I’ve become distracted, I bet I am lost drooling over this blog and all of Jodie’s crafty-goodness.

Ooh, I have this magazine too! My favorite article was on the band Bowerbirds. They live in a 1961 Airstream trailer, bought a few wooded acres, and live off the grid! Their music is beautiful as well. It’s “organic folk”, inspired by nature.
