I made the time to stop into my favorite bargain sewing shop, Fabric and Frieght Mart in Baberton, to look for a deal. I was hoping to find some of this beautiful green fabric I ran out of over a year ago. I didn’t find the fabric in question, but I did discover this 2 gross roll of elastic under a shelf. It was priced at $3 a ROLL! Holy Cow!
I didn’t believe it was true so I grabbed it to take up to the counter. Colleen has been making her own underwear lately, and I’m sewing cloth diapers out of my old t-shirts and need to make leg casings. We could use some elastic. I thought there must be some other spool that they roll it into for the $3 a roll price, but no, the whole 2 gross roll is $3.
Since there is no way possible for Colleen and I (nor my immeditate family and friends) to use up 2,000 yards of elastic any time soon I thought I would pass some of it on to you. The first five people in the comments will get 6 arms-lengths of elastic sent to you, from me. Just make sure that you have a valid email address included in the comments form when you comment so that I can get in touch with you for your shipping address.
Holy awesome elastic!!
Looks like a cool place! I’ve never heard of it before, so thanks for the tip. I’ll check it out one of these days.
I would love it! Thanks a ton. Hopefully I am fast enough!
Wowsers! Thats such a deal.

I finally got to the store today but didn’t realize they don’t take debit or credit! I’ll be more prepared next time. I found some hardware pieces that may make interesting jewelry, lots of trims & elastics, and some beautiful teal drawer pulls for $ .75 each (I didn’t buy them, but I’m keeping them in mind!)
