We are so excited to host another give-away contest here at the Nest. I want to enter (but that would be cheating) because the award is so awesome. Kim from Unemployed Designer, and our Sponsor for this week, has donated a Leather Business Card Case and a Leather Pony Tail Holder to our winner. Kim has also designed a bit of a challenge to go along with the contest so to enter read below. All of the entries should be made in our comments to this post, so be sure to leave you email address or URL so we can contact you if you are chosen as the winner. Good Luck!

Wow! I just added her to my favorites on Etsy a few days ago!
Alt Uses:
storing a crafty collection (e.g. buttons or beads)
keeping ponytail holders from floating to the bottom of wherever.
storing medicine discreetly.
organizing your gift cards so you always have them with you. (checked the dimensions, they fit!)
hiding an engagement ring for a stylish proposal.
as wrapping for another important gift.
storing tiny bags of heirloom seeds from other places when you travel.
as a tiny purse (a credit card and/or a few bills.)
create a tiny sewing kit for a friend.
Love the company name! I started my etsy shoppe as a result of becoming an unemployed designer – lol! Something that I’ve done before with a different business card holder was make it into a little travel-sized photo stash. When my sister-in-law had a baby, I gathered up the best photos of the newborn, printed them out as 2.5″x3″ and stuck them in a business card holder. It was a fun and unique way for her to carry photos in her purse of her little cutie. Let’s see, what else I can come up with….
• travel-sized photo stash
• coupon holder
• this would be a perfect size to hold the case that my birth control pills come in & keep them discreetly in my purse!
• it looks like an envelope, so fill it with a love note to give your sweetie
• a stylish wrapping for a gift card that you are giving someone
• not just for business cards, but for mommy calling cards too!!
• jewelry holder when traveling, at the gym, etc.
• stick it in a bouquet of flowers with a small message card inside
Well, that’s all the time that this unemployed designer can part with for now. I love your creations!
I love little purses and catch-alls! Here’s some ideas for your versatile little business card case:
- a safe holder for your i-Pod headphones. Can you say ‘no more tangles’?
- put a package of oil-free blotters, band-aid(for blisters) and a mini-toothbrush in your case for discreet on the town touch-ups!
- create your own notepad holder – a package of sticky notes and a mini pen, tucked into your business bag, where they won’t separate or get dirty.
- make it your ‘commuter case’ by storing your subway ticket, light rail pass, parking receipt, even change for the meter.
- Sunday running buddy – keep your house key, Starbucks card, Chapstick in your gym shorts…ready, set, go!
An unemployed designer must always use their business card pouches for:
*an ATC (artist trading card) holder
*Cutesy holder for sticks of gum
*It would hold my pool key card just perfectly
*a safe keeping places for my bible study memory verses
*a quick clutch with debit card, stick of gum and a house key
*a child’s “play” wallet
*a mini recipe card holder- you could color code the pouches and have them displayed in your kitchen… green for salads/side dishes, and so on…
*a baseball card holder for boys to go to trades with
*I’m sure a few almonds would fit in there for a lovely little healthy snack holder
…….and that’s all I can come up with! Hope I win!
I love little holders to keep me organized!
I would use it to keep safety pins and a small sewing kit in my purse—you never know!
Or business cards from other designers/stores that are interested in carrying your product line
Or keep coupons and shopping lists for all the different stores you visit throughout the week—grocery, drug, craft, etc.
Or ear buds for the mp3 player
Or to hold jewelry—I usually have to take my earrings out after a few hours. This way they wouldn’t get lost.
Or carrying my lucky charm with me everywhere I go. I need all the luck I can get and I would always know where it is.
Or my camera memory card when going to get my photos developed
Or bobby pins
I didn’t read the other entries, so maybe I’m not very original, but your shop is great! And a contest is a great idea!
