Repurposed CD Display Organizes Thread

I was reorganizing my workspace and wanted to store thread on the narrow wall above my sewing area. So I scoured the house for items to repurpose for a shelf. I found a cd display unit and used screws to attach it to the wall. Now it perfectly holds all my thread.
oh man, I need a sewing area. I always pull everything out when and spread it on the dining room table when I want to sew. Not so great.
Pile it up in the center of the table for few dinners and Andy will let you have the “Man Room.”
Brilliant! I never would have made that connection. Now where are my old CD holders…
great idea! it reminds me of what i did with an old wooden casette holder i picked up at the thrift store for 50 cents. i painted it white and use it to hold my ribbon spools. you can see it here if you want
