I came across this link last night while browsing the web. The site WhatIsWaste.com has some wonderful webisodes about recycling and redefining what is waste. But the one I found most intriging was about Patagonia and their Common Threads Garment Recycling Program.
Patagonia has the goal of making all of their clothing recyclable by 2010! And right now a lot of their items are recyclable by bringing your worn out Patagonia clothing back to a Patagonia retailer and leaving them in the “Drop your Drawers” bins. They also have a lot of other environmental and social initiatives to give back to the community and the world.
So definitely check out the video and browse those two websites. It is wonderful to see companies thinking ahead and planning to run sustainably.
