I just made one and added it to the group. So easy and fun. My apron is REALLY soft, like old sheets. I love it.

Oh my! That costume was definitely worth a gathering foot. It is also ADORABLE!

The last time I made myself a costume was when my husband and I were engaged and I was Alice in Wonderland. I made him be the Mad Hatter. Ha! Poor guy.

if you hate gathering, definitely put a gathering foot on your christmas list of something. they’re kinda pricey, especially if you have to buy a name brand one (i had to, to fit my brother machine) but they save you SO MUCH time. i’d been wanting one for years, but it wasn’t until i made last year’s halloween costume with a million ruffles (http://craftydame.blogspot.com/2008/10/happy-halloween.html) that i finally caved and bought one. i don’t know how i survived without it!

Yeah, that quilt was on the girls’ bed when we came for Andy’s Ordination.

You were with me when I bought that sheet. It was at the goodwill in Berkley Springs. Remember that day?

I have a quilt that my grandmother made for me when I was maybe 8 and it had that sheet as the back of the quilt. It’s weird to see that you have that fabric. It’s a fabric that has such a vivid spot in my memory. I still have that quilt- you may have seen it.

Thanks, Deborah. We will love our aprons. You’ll have to check back here next Wednesday because I have big plans for these aprons in a tutorial. I had a little revelation about what garden aprons need while I was picking lettuce for my salad a few days ago.
