My friend Laura made me this name bracelet when my son was born. She used Swarovski pearls & crystals and silver letter beads to spell my son’s first & middle names.
Now Laura’s baby shower is quickly approaching, so I’ve been searching for something personal to make for her baby girl. My favorite idea thus far is a handmade first words book by Sara at Party Perfect (found via Craftzine). What are your favorite baby gift DIY ideas?

Have you seen this kind of baby book before: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25823661 ? I’ve seen them several different places, where you take the baby’s name and then make a quilted book with the words from those letters. I think they’re really neat, and will make one for the next baby I know.
