Every once in a while I see something and I say, “Hey! I just did that!” But since I never have any proof, no one believes me. Sometimes I don’t believe myself.
This time I have proof. I was watching the girls take a bath while I caught up on some Real Simple reading. When I came to this page I was sure that someone from Real Simple had been reading my old blog, Recycling at its Cutest. That was my most searched post, too. Very likely. Especially since the directions for attaching the skirt are identical to mine… hmm….
You compare and tell me this isn’t a strangely similar project.
It’s OK, Real Simple. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. Just kidding. I’m sure it’s a coincidence. But uncanny, none-the-less. Maybe I should send Real Simple some more of my ideas. I might get credit for them this time!

Wow, it’s amazing how great minds think alike! I did this same thing a couple years ago with an old skirt my friend from India gave me. I have a laundry basket sitting on top of a box for added height to get it off the floor, and I used the skirt as a wrap to hide the unsightly brown box beneath the basket. Now it looks like a fancy pedastol rather than a quick fix!
