My husband Rob encourages me by buying me tools. Since we’ve been married he’s gifted me with a Husqvarna sewing machine, a Wacom tablet, a Flip digital camera, a Nikon, and now the Dell Mini 9. I am spoiled. So with my new gift I needed to carry it around without breaking it. I wanted it to have a case small enough to fit in my purse, that’s the point of a teeny netbook anyway.
This was the perfect opportunity to raid the stash and cut things up. I love that feeling. All of the fabric came from old project scraps or repurposed clothing, except the turquoise. The corduroy came from an owl jumper I made for Elise, and the pocket is a piece of handkerchief. I ended up with this perfectly sized, padded zip pouch complete with accessories pockets! And, yes. It still fits in my purse.
