I love this room divider screen from World Market! My first thoughts when I saw it were, “How can I make something like that?”
So, when I found a paper roman shade on clearance at Target for $6, I thought I’d use this instead of bamboo. When I was considering which supplies to purchase for the frame, I remembered an old screen door I had in the basement.
To construct the room screen, all I did was drape the roman shade over the screen. Then I wedged the screen into the corner between the wall and the shelf. If in the future if I decide to make this feature more permanent, I’ll use the hardware that came with the shade & drill & mount the shade to the screen. But with how frequently I like to change things up, I’ll leave it unmounted for now!

I’ve been looking for a room divider like that to hide my toys when company comes over. I’ve got to see yours in person.
