Artist in Residence Recycling Program

So many “treasures” go into landfills every day, and I’m excited when I find people who are doing something about this.
San Francisco has an Artist in Residence program to help encourage recycling. The goal is for the artist to create things out of trash & recyclables and display this artwork to the public. The artist gets studio space, supplies, equipment, and a stipend for their work.
If anyone has the hookup for Akron to do something like this, let me know!!

This seems like something that a masters student in the art program at Akron should apply for a government grant for.
Akron has the trash-bug guy who displayed his things at Stan Hywett this summer. My sister knows him, I wonder if there’s anything formal going on with it?
